I am currently studying a masters in counselling and psychotherapy with Bath Spa University and my final dissertation includes conducting a research project. I have chosen to research what the barriers may be for people choosing, accessing and engaging with group therapy.
Group therapy, according to research, is as effective as individual therapy, yet in my experience it is very difficult to get people to choose this as an option. Because of the work I do I am particularly interested in the barriers men may face.
